About the role

  • Deputy Restaurant Manager leading operational restaurant tasks while managing a young team. Providing team training and ensuring quality and service goals at a popular eatery in Mainz.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading the restaurant's day-to-day operations
  • Lead and develop a young team
  • Set quality and service targets
  • Hands-on participation in daily operations
  • Staff scheduling, inventory management, restaurant operations planning & budget planning
  • Ensure quality and hygiene standards, including monitoring key restaurant metrics/KPIs
  • Conduct job interviews and select new staff
  • Deliver staff training

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry
  • Strong German language skills – at least C1 level
  • Experience leading teams
  • Able to motivate staff and act as a supportive point of contact
  • An eye for talent
  • Service-oriented work approach
