About the role

  • Intern in Business Development at GreenPocket GmbH, a smart energy startup in Cologne. Collaborating with the CEO to advance business strategies and software products with a focus on energy management.

Responsibilities

  • You support Business Development by identifying current trends and evaluating them with respect to potential new business models and the company’s future strategic direction.
  • You work directly with our CEO on the strategic development of our company and our software products.
  • You independently develop use cases, evaluate them, and, for example, examine their impact on the existing business model.
  • You independently conduct analyses of market and competitive developments in the energy sector and present your findings directly to the CEO.
  • You act as the interface between Product Management, Finance, and Sales.
  • You correspond with investors, maintain documentation, and manage the funding round process.

Requirements

  • You are a currently enrolled student studying energy economics, business administration, communication sciences, or a comparable field.
  • Ideally, you have already gained initial practical experience in strategy or business development through internships (e.g., at a management consultancy or in a strategic department of a corporation or startup).
  • In addition to an analytical mindset, you have a systematic and results-oriented way of working.
  • You are comfortable contacting external stakeholders or investors by phone.
  • You are highly organized and bring a strong sense of proactivity, initiative, and ambition, and you quickly apply acquired knowledge in practice.
  • You have very good German and English skills and are proficient in common MS Office applications.
