About the role
- Data Center Operations Specialist managing infrastructure support for 24x7 data center operations. Overseeing incidents and maintenance while ensuring ITIL compliance and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Support and ensure smooth 24x7 running of the operations in the 'in-country' data center.
- Acts as Level 1 escalation point by overseeing and resolving all onsite operational incidents and major issues.
- Documents and updates accurately all requests on the internal web portal ticketing system.
- Implements best in class DC operations based on ITIL and industry practices.
- Ensures effective implementations of safety, security and customer support policy and procedures.
- Coordinates and provides support to contractors and vendors as well as inspecting completed work.
- Plans and supports all preventive and reactive maintenance activities with little to no disruption to company's services.
- Participates and supports internal and external audits for internal stakeholders and customers.
- Generates accurate and regular reports when required.
- Any other duties or project as assigned by the management.
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in IT/Computing/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Technical Training Certifications , Network Certifications or equivalent
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in 24x7 DC or facility operations environment, or fresh graduate with relevant qualifications
- Possess general knowledge of M&E and Network Critical Infrastructure
- Good knowledge in M&E and building facilities related systems
- Meticulous team player with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- English - spoken and written
