About the role

  • Human Resources Manager responsible for building the HR operations in a logistics tech startup. Overseeing compliance, recruiting, and employee relations in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own multi-state employment compliance across multiple states
  • Maintain and improve the employee handbook and policies
  • Manage all employee records and HRIS administration
  • Administer benefits programs
  • Oversee payroll coordination
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for various roles
  • Design onboarding programs for new hires
  • Serve as a resource for employee relations matters
  • Develop performance review processes
  • Manage background check processes for defense contracts
  • Champion the company's core values and culture

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-state employment compliance
  • Proven ability to build HR processes and systems
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruiting
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
