About the role

  • Senior Manager of Partner Development securing new corporate partnerships that advance Girls Who Code’s mission. Collaborating with various teams to manage complex partnership cycles and engage with senior corporate leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead prospecting and cultivation across a shared new business portfolio to advance Girls Who Code’s revenue goals.
  • Steward relationships with senior corporate leaders; develop and deliver tailored pitches, proposals, and scopes aligned to GWC’s programmatic priorities.
  • Manage complex partner prospecting cycles from research and discovery through negotiation and confirmation, using data and insights to shape strategic cultivation approaches.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management in Salesforce; analyze trends and opportunity signals to strengthen segmentation, forecasting, and overall effectiveness.
  • Manage and grow a small portfolio of early-stage partners through strategic renewals and expanded engagement opportunities.
  • Support senior-level prospect engagements by preparing materials and collaborating with the Director, CEO, and CDO on high-stakes conversations.
  • Represent Girls Who Code at targeted convenings and industry events to expand the prospect pipeline and increase organizational visibility.
  • Collaborate with Programs, Finance, Legal, and Marketing to scope opportunities, ensure feasibility, and coordinate each stage of the partnership lifecycle.
  • Work with Development Team colleagues to ensure seamless handoff of confirmed partnerships to Partner Engagement for strong stewardship.
  • Contribute to teamwide systems, templates, and best practices, modeling a collaborative, “one team, one goal” approach.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience in fundraising, business development, corporate partnerships, sales, or related fields, with a strong record of securing and growing 5–7 figure partnerships.
  • Proven success cultivating senior corporate leaders and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder partnership cycles.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to craft compelling pitches, tailor messages, and represent Girls Who Code with executive stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) and a commitment to accurate, timely, and inclusive communication.
  • Skilled in using data and research tools to identify opportunities, inform strategy, and strengthen decision-making.
  • Collaborative and solutions-oriented, with a commitment to transparent communication and shared team goals.
  • Adaptable and energized by evolving student needs and shifts in the tech landscape, bringing thoughtful prioritization and a mission-centered approach to change.
  • Proactive, self-motivated problem-solver with strong follow-through, sound judgment, and integrity.
