About the role

  • Actively engage with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate technical solutions
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients in a clear and impactful manner
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create customized proposals addressing customer requirements
  • Serve as a technical resource for both the sales team and clients throughout the sales cycle
  • Identify potential clients and develop strategies to penetrate target markets effectively
  • Work closely with product development teams to provide feedback on market trends and customer needs
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure their satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities
  • Provide technical support and presales expertise to channel, customers for video surveillance and access control projects.
  • Respond promptly to partner and customer inquiries and provide accurate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Deliver technical trainings, workshops, and demonstrations for partners and customers.
  • Lead the demo setup and align demo use cases with customer requirements and real-world scenarios.
  • Prepare solution architecture documents and system diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
  • Document key partner and customer engagements.
  • Maintain a high level of product and technology knowledge across Genetec solutions.
  • Represent Genetec in industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings with professionalism.
  • Collaborate with internal teams — Sales Managers, Technical Leads, and Channel Manager — to align on project and partner strategies
  • Collaborative mindset to coordinate with sales, channel, and technical teams while maintaining ownership of individual responsibilities.
  • Continuously learn and develop expertise in Genetec products, along with cross-technology skills following a T-shaped learning approach.
  • Maintain demonstration setups and ensure they are ready for customer engagements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal compliance and reporting processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in VMS, Access Control, or related IT infrastructure / security systems.
  • Proven experience in a sales engineer or technical sales role, preferably within the technology sector
  • Strong technical knowledge of our products and solutions, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, and cybersecurity.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically and address customer concerns promptly
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality deliverables
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and leadership
  • Familiarity with sales processes and experience in using CRM tools to manage accounts and sales opportunities
