About the role
- Strategic Sourcing Team Leader for GE Vernova negotiating contracts and optimizing supplier management. Leading efforts to meet contractual conditions and improve products, processes, and services.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies
- Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services
- Utilize understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process
- Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels
- Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers
- Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement
- Manage claims
- Lead a Commodity Spend of over $500M, and position team to execute volume ramp, with SQDC mindset
- Often manages medium to large teams
- Presents business solutions to leaders in functional area
- Influences policy and ensures delivery within own function, linking with other functions of the organization
Requirements
- significant experience in Sourcing & Commodity Management
- Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
- Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s))
