About the role

  • Cybersecurity Engineer providing application-level administration of forensic tools and systems at GDIT. Focused on maintaining and enhancing cybersecurity operations for federal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain specialized forensic tools and infrastructure
  • Implement application-level patches and conduct routine maintenance activities
  • Perform regular account administration for users
  • Apply configuration changes and undertake customization and tuning efforts
  • Drive the deployment of new systemic functionalities and assist in identifying new tools
  • Serve as a point of contact for troubleshooting escalated issues

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in tools and infrastructure support
  • Certifications in relevant technologies preferred (e.g., Splunk Certified Architect, Cellebrite Certified Examiner)
  • Demonstrable experience in deploying and managing Magnet Axiom Cyber or similar platforms
  • Proven track record of implementing application-level configurations and patching in a secure and documented manner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • US Citizenship Required – Must have Active Secret, Top Secret, DOE L, or DOE Q
