About the role

  • Key Account Manager overseeing Deutsche Bahn's key account portfolio in Germany. Building long-term client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for taking over, managing and strategically developing an established key account portfolio with a focus on Deutsche Bahn within the sales territory of Germany
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships at decision-maker and project levels
  • Identify and develop new market and business opportunities within the defined sales territory
  • Plan and conduct customer visits, presentations and business meetings
  • Prepare proposals and lead the proposal process in a structured way, including contract and price negotiations
  • Work closely with marketing, project management and internal specialist departments to implement comprehensive sales strategies
  • Prepare monthly forecasts focusing on order intake, unit volumes (display systems), revenue and contribution margin
  • Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events
  • Regularly maintain the CRM according to company guidelines and provide regular reporting of sales activities
  • Support sales-related projects and deputize for other tasks within the sales team as needed

Requirements

  • Degree or vocational training in business administration, sales or a related field
  • Several years of experience in sales and key account management, ideally in the rail or public transport (ÖPNV) sector
  • Strong customer focus and a confident presence at decision-maker level
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Structured, independent and target-oriented working style
  • Proficient with MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics (CRM)
  • Excellent spoken and written German and English
  • Willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally internationally
