About the role

  • ServiceNow Engineer developing and implementing solutions across ServiceNow modules for Fortive's global environment. Collaborating with stakeholders to enhance workflows and automate processes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and develop solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise applications.
  • Ensure compliance with ServiceNow development standards, low-code/no-code, configuration-not-customization and other best practices.
  • Maintain a high standard of code quality by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code optimizing for performance.
  • Ensure that our ServiceNow services are interoperable, maintainable, and scalable, supporting seamless employee and customer experiences.
  • Act as Tier 3 escalation point for the ServiceNow Operations team to assist with resolution of issues with ServiceNow applications or integrations.
  • Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features and enhancements and recommend improvements.
  • Communicate technical problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in process design workshops and kaizen events.
  • Other Duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Strong passion for customer service and user experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced technology environment with high expectations.
  • 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
  • Strong familiarity with the core ServiceNow platform and proven experience in at least two of the following capabilities – ITSM, ITOM, CSM, CMDB/CSDM, SecOps, HRSD.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into technical designs.
  • Proven bias for low-code/no-code approaches to development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with the Agile methodology and working with Stories and Sprints to deliver new capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while delivering results.
  • Acts as a mentor and resource for other colleagues.
  • Ability to lead small projects with manageable risks.
