About the role

  • Minimize campaign occurrences on forward model programs through the campaign prevent process, improve design robustness and compliance with foundation documents/requirements through leading the technical design review process, and assist with facilitating reviews and decisions leading up to a field service action.
  • Lead the Technical Design Review process for all programs
  • Lead integrating the campaign prevent and technical design review processes into one process where the separate bits complement each other. Ensure a process timeline and program schedule is current and followed.
  • Conduct up front virtual and downstream hardware campaign prevent reviews
  • Lead campaign prevent awareness sessions for programs at UNV0
  • Conduct or supervise reviews (virtual and hardware fresh eyes) for all programs
  • Raise and agree with closures of fresh eyes review AIMs issues.
  • Lead Prevent Action Closure process for recalls and stop ships, and manage the prevent recurrence process. (Application teams will continue to lead specific PAC actions.)
  • Lead or run the weekly suspension prevent recurrence meeting.
  • Maintain and keep up to date campaign prevent templates and checklists.
  • Monitoring the NHTSA and other recall sources for potential assessment in the prevent process
  • Support development of 14D’s, Prevent Action Closure papers, and migration plans
  • Participate in durability reviews
  • Use experience in delivering designs into production to not just facilitate a process but assist with proposing recommendations and assisting in training engineers with less experience on how to systematically deliver quality products on time to target.
  • On-site support for collaboration required targeting 4 days per week.

Requirements

  • BS Chassis/Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive model programs
  • Understanding of GPDS deliverables and basic Ford engineering tools including Teamcenter and buck environment.
  • PS through launch experience.
  • Experience launching new vehicles.
  • Ability to handle complex tasks and challenging situations under compressed timing.
