About the role

  • Director of Strategic Price Setting to lead pricing team at NAPA Auto Parts. Driving innovative pricing strategies to maximize profitability and competitive advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inspiring leadership and mentorship to a team of pricing managers and analysts, fostering professional growth, skill development, and high performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop pricing strategies tailored to our B2B customers, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Oversee the execution of pricing changes, ensuring accuracy and timely implementation to meet the needs of our business customers through a team of managers and analysts.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate pricing performance metrics using BI tools and impact tracking dashboards oriented around KPIs, making data-driven recommendations for adjustments to enhance profitability.
  • Cultivate relationships with category management, procurement, supply chain, IT, sales, and field teams to ensure alignment and execution of pricing strategies across all channels.
  • Lead the end-to-end process of pricing software enhancements—partnering with technology teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and prioritize development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in pricing management, preferably within the automotive aftermarket or similar B2B distribution industry.
  • Proven track record of developing high performing teams
  • Proven track record of implementing successful pricing strategies in B2B/B2C settings.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstratable proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik, as well as Excel.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Experience with price management software such as PROS, Vendavo, or PriceFX.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to evolving business needs and market conditions.
