About the role

  • Oversee faculty academic appointment processes at University of Pennsylvania. Coordinate with divisions and ensure adherence to policies and procedures for academic appointments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, administer, and coordinate faculty academic appointments, reappointments, and promotions process.
  • Support divisional faculty coordinators in all appointment, reappointment, and promotion processes.
  • Research, preparation, and vetting of extramural consultants and peer references.
  • Oversee and implement peer reference process at the Division level.
  • Prepare monthly DOM COAP meetings with the Director.
  • Assemble dossier packets and set up BOX files for committee members.
  • Ensure University Faculty Search guidelines are followed.
  • Orient/train new faculty coordinators within the DOM.
  • Work directly with internal and external entities to verify academic appointment requests.
  • Maintain close interaction with the DOM Division Coordinators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
