Responsibilities
Ensure design quality on-site, travel across EMEA, and help deliver top-tier building services projects.
Support the quality assurance of mechanical designs by carrying out regular site visits and working closely with contractors and clients.
Ensure that design intent is fully and accurately implemented on site, in line with Ethos Engineering’s high standards.
Attend site visits to ensure design intent is clearly understood and implemented.
Communicate technical requirements to foremen, operatives, and subcontractors.
Review site installations and produce snag lists to capture any deviations from the design.
Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and record outcomes.
Conduct and report on BCaR compliance inspections via Zutec.
Collaborate with commissioning teams to monitor progress and identify risks.
Liaise with internal design teams to provide feedback from site and close the loop on quality assurance.
Requirements
A qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Site experience, ideally in building services or M&E consultancy.
A strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, pipework, ventilation, drainage, controls (BMS), and fire suppression.
Familiarity with BCaR inspections and quality assurance procedures.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and relay design intent to site teams.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Comfortable travelling to various project sites across Ireland.
Experience using site management and documentation software (ProCore or similar) is a plus.
