About the role

  • Join Ethos Engineering as a Site Engineer – Mechanical! Ensure design quality on-site, travel across EMEA, and help deliver top-tier building services projects.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure design quality on-site, travel across EMEA, and help deliver top-tier building services projects.
  • Support the quality assurance of mechanical designs by carrying out regular site visits and working closely with contractors and clients.
  • Ensure that design intent is fully and accurately implemented on site, in line with Ethos Engineering’s high standards.
  • Attend site visits to ensure design intent is clearly understood and implemented.
  • Communicate technical requirements to foremen, operatives, and subcontractors.
  • Review site installations and produce snag lists to capture any deviations from the design.
  • Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and record outcomes.
  • Conduct and report on BCaR compliance inspections via Zutec.
  • Collaborate with commissioning teams to monitor progress and identify risks.
  • Liaise with internal design teams to provide feedback from site and close the loop on quality assurance.

Requirements

  • A qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Site experience, ideally in building services or M&E consultancy.
  • A strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, pipework, ventilation, drainage, controls (BMS), and fire suppression.
  • Familiarity with BCaR inspections and quality assurance procedures.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and relay design intent to site teams.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable travelling to various project sites across Ireland.
  • Experience using site management and documentation software (ProCore or similar) is a plus.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
