Responsibilities
- Ensure design quality on-site, travel across EMEA, and help deliver top-tier building services projects.
- Support the quality assurance of mechanical designs by carrying out regular site visits and working closely with contractors and clients.
- Ensure that design intent is fully and accurately implemented on site, in line with Ethos Engineering’s high standards.
- Attend site visits to ensure design intent is clearly understood and implemented.
- Communicate technical requirements to foremen, operatives, and subcontractors.
- Review site installations and produce snag lists to capture any deviations from the design.
- Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and record outcomes.
- Conduct and report on BCaR compliance inspections via Zutec.
- Collaborate with commissioning teams to monitor progress and identify risks.
- Liaise with internal design teams to provide feedback from site and close the loop on quality assurance.
Requirements
- A qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Site experience, ideally in building services or M&E consultancy.
- A strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, pipework, ventilation, drainage, controls (BMS), and fire suppression.
- Familiarity with BCaR inspections and quality assurance procedures.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and relay design intent to site teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Comfortable travelling to various project sites across Ireland.
- Experience using site management and documentation software (ProCore or similar) is a plus.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
