About the role
- Engineer at REV Fire developing robust engineering solutions for Fire Apparatus. Responsible for design, analysis, and manufacturing support of fire vehicles in Ephrata, PA.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing world-class, robust engineering solutions to the Fire Apparatus industry.
- Participation in customer specification reviews and product planning meetings.
- Conducting research and analysis of customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data.
- Creating and managing indented Bills of Materials (BOMs), in adherence to company standards and creating engineering configuration tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 3 years practical experience in a similar engineering position.
- Expert in 3D CAD systems and tools –SolidWorks, Auto CAD, Inventor or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable NFPA, ULC, FAMA, DOT, FMVSS and other regulatory guidelines.
- Extensive experience in fire apparatus design, documentation, and lean manufacturing expertise in three or more of the primary functional areas: Aerials, Bodies, Cabs, Chassis, Electrical, Applications, Plumbing or Systems.
