About the role

• Senior Project Mechanical Design Engineer leading mechanical building services for data centre projects across EMEA. Mentoring staff and ensuring quality project delivery while managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects across the EMEA region, managing the full project lifecycle from initial concept to client handover.
• Confidently handle project delivery while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Mentor and guide engineering staff, ensuring all team deliverables meet quality assurance standards before handover.
• Manage several projects and ensure team members stay on track with deliverables.
• Understand client needs and develop strong client relationships to deliver tailored solutions that meet expectations.
• Manage quality control within projects to ensure deliverables meet established standards.
• Engage in resource management to optimise resource allocation and project execution.
• Report progress to Group Management Team for transparency and alignment with organisational goals.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Hold a professional qualification.
• Excellent communication skills, representing Ethos as the design team in client meetings.
• Ability to lead projects and take briefs from project lead on large projects.
• Strong report writing skills and ability to explain complex engineering issues in simple language.
• Good understanding of HVAC and building controls.
• Experience in the design of plumbing and drainage systems is preferred.
