About the role

  • Chief of Staff to CIO overseeing c.$120bn portfolio at Equitable. Leading strategic initiatives and enhancing communication across executive teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the oversight and analysis of the c.$120bn General Account portfolio, ensuring accuracy and insight across investment metrics, legal entities, strategies, portfolios, and asset classes.
  • Develop high impact presentations for executive leadership, translating complex investment topics into clear insights, recommendations, and strategic options.
  • Serve as a primary liaison to key OCIO partners, including Financial Planning & Analysis, Investor Relations, Investment Accounting, and Treasury, ensuring alignment and timely information flow.
  • Advance Equitable’s ESG and Responsible Investment agenda by supporting ESG integration, impact investing initiatives, reporting, and disclosure requirements.
  • Prepare and refine materials for Equitable’s Investment Committee and Board of Directors, ensuring clarity, rigor, and strategic alignment in all governance communications.
  • Coordinate the strategic planning and execution of investment initiatives across the OCIO organization, driving accountability and operational follow through.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in an investment analyst role, financial planning & analysis within a large organization, or a financial reporting function working across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Proven prioritization and execution skills, with a clear focus on driving meaningful results in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and excel in a fast paced, project driven, team-oriented setting.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking capabilities, with a track record of solving complex problems and influencing process or organizational improvements.
  • Skilled communicator with executive presence, able to distill complex issues into clear, compelling presentations and recommended actions.
  • Established foundation in finance, investments, and/or insurance, with the ability to apply domain knowledge to strategic and operational challenges.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, leveraging data driven insights and clear storytelling to support decision making.
