About the role

  • Sales Manager responsible for client management and acquiring new business within the Small Fleets Segment for Element. Driving revenue and managing client relationships in a consultative sales approach.

Responsibilities

  • Impact the financial success of the business through the ability to secure new business within the Small Fleets Segment
  • Drive revenue and set the course for growth of the business by managing an assigned set of clients and prospects
  • Ensure that all future clients are strategically developed
  • Generate new business & share of wallet opportunities with customers and prospects
  • Identify needs and develop proposals with Elements value added services
  • Coordinate end to end sales process for new customer onboarding (including risk underwriting process, customer visits, contract negotiation and implementation process)
  • Accountable for the overall relationship management of assigned clients as the primary point of contact
  • Meet clients to maintain and grow business relationships
  • Oversee line renewals and legal changes
  • Introduce new products & services with existing clients to enhance profitability
  • Responsible for the development, planning and execution of a strategic account plan including coordinating with strategic consulting projects and business reviews
  • Identify and articulate best practices within the industry
  • Demonstrated analytical ability, critical reasoning and strategic thinking to generate customer loyalty

Requirements

  • True hunter mentality; new business development focused
  • BS or BA in business or related field required. MBA is a plus
  • 3-5 years in complex B2B sales environment, preferably selling complex financial concepts/products or other intangible products/services
  • Experience selling in C-suite settings and influencing C-suite decision-makers strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated sales discipline and record of sales success and experience leading the successful acquisition of new business through a structured process
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time within assigned (home) territory
  • Preferred experience on financial or lease services, customer-facing commercial sales position
  • Critical thinking - can offer creative solutions to meet client and prospect needs
  • Drive results by successfully presenting to clients and senior management
  • Proven ability to effectively interact at all levels of an organization
