About the role

  • Work Management Planner assisting with construction and maintenance activities for Power Grid Operations. Identifying risks, coordinating materials, and ensuring project plans completion in Duke Energy.

Responsibilities

  • assist with preparation of work packages to perform both Construction and Maintenance activities
  • review the project work order for understanding of materials quantities and need dates
  • identify risks and engage business partners for implementation of mitigation strategies
  • submit materials pick event requests for delivery of materials to jobsites
  • serve as the materials liaison for resolution of damaged or additional materials requests
  • coordinate all materials pick up requests from jobsites to assigned warehouses
  • work closely with the construction resources to plan, estimate, and allocate materials to all projects
  • manage changes in work plans to align with changing funding requirements
  • ensure the annual Construction & Maintenance work plan is completed

Requirements

  • Associates degree
  • five (5) years related work experience
  • In lieu of Associates degree(s) AND 5 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 7 year(s) related work experience
  • Working knowledge of work management system, e.g., Maximo, Delivery Management Schedule (DMW) Tool, P6, Adobe, Paper port, MS Office (word, excel, access, etc.) (Preferred)
  • Requires substantial specific knowledge in craft areas such as sub-station and line construction and materials procurement (Preferred)
