About the role

  • Account Manager leading commercial initiatives and client partnerships in fine fragrances. Building strategic projects and ensuring client satisfaction at dsm-firmenich.

Responsibilities

  • Execute account objectives and implement commercial strategy through actionable plans.
  • Build strong partnerships with clients, positioning Dsm-Firmenich as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and take corrective action when needed with support of Sales Director
  • Translate client briefs into clear, actionable projects for internal teams.
  • Anticipate client needs and lead proactive initiatives to drive new business.
  • Ensure accurate pricing, margin parameters, and compliance in all project data.
  • Coordinate submissions and deliver solutions that balance client and Dsm-Firmenich objectives.
  • Oversee product lifecycle and collaborate with supply chain for service excellence.
  • Monitor performance and contribute to forecasts.
  • Optimise financial aspects including expenses and overdue payments.
  • Maintain accurate commercial data and lead/support team members effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of flavor/fragances/ingredients sales experience/marketing experience in FMCG
  • Client Relationship Building – Develop trust and position Dsm-Firmenich as a valued partner.
  • Sales & Negotiation Basics – Support pricing discussions and commercial agreements.
  • Product & Market Knowledge – Understand core products and show passion for fragrances
  • Collaboration & Communication – Work effectively with internal teams and present confidently to clients.
  • Commercial & Process Awareness – Learn pricing, profitability, supply chain basics, and use Firmenich tools accurately.
