Responsibilities
- Ensure the company’s compliance with the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law).
- Define and review privacy and data protection standards and other standards that directly impact privacy/data protection initiatives, for example, the Information Classification Standard.
- Draft policies, standards and procedures related to Privacy and Data Protection.
- Lead and oversee the data protection and privacy program, including conducting data mapping and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and mitigating risks.
- Develop practical strategies and actions for the company’s data governance through assessments and recommendations of preventive and corrective measures to ensure compliance with the LGPD.
- Analyze and implement measures necessary to mitigate risks related to privacy and the protection of personal data.
- Monitor, follow up and decide on remediation actions and document security incidents related to personal data (leaks, losses, unauthorized modifications, among others).
- Oversee the rollout of company initiatives tied to meeting legal requirements or privacy legislation.
- Deliver periodic training on privacy topics and support process changes to align with the LGPD.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, IT, Information Security or related fields.
- Knowledge of major industry frameworks, such as ISO 27001, ISO 27002, Regulations 4658, 3380.
- Proven experience in privacy and data protection projects.
- Strong knowledge of the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD).
- EXIN (PDPE) and/or CIPM certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and legal teams.
