Perform financial modeling for real estate investment projects, including development projects, acquisitions, dispositions and financings;
Review property management budgets and lease transaction budgets;
Monitor operating expenses and municipal taxes and calculate the performance of managed properties;
Prepare presentations for investor fundraising;
Calculate investor returns and cash flows for investment funds;
Collaborate with other departments (design, construction, sales, property management, etc.) and communicate relevant information to the investment management team;
Continuously review and improve existing financial models;
Work with external appraisers to evaluate development projects and managed properties;
Monitor the investment and real estate markets and update databases and other market intelligence tools;
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting;
3–5 years of experience in real estate, private placements, or mergers & acquisitions (asset);
Professional designation held or in progress (CFA, CPA, or CBV) (asset);
Relevant experience in financial modeling, preferably in a transactional context;
Knowledge of Argus Enterprise (an asset);
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint;
Strong skills in preparing presentation materials;
Functional bilingualism (an asset);
