About the role
- Senior Financial Analyst in investments at Groupe Devimco focusing on financial modeling for large scale real estate projects. Engage in fund documentation for high-level presentation and investor relations.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial modeling for real estate investment projects, including development projects, acquisitions, dispositions and financings;
- Review property management budgets and lease transaction budgets;
- Monitor operating expenses and municipal taxes and calculate the performance of managed properties;
- Prepare presentations for investor fundraising;
- Calculate investor returns and cash flows for investment funds;
- Collaborate with other departments (design, construction, sales, property management, etc.) and communicate relevant information to the investment management team;
- Continuously review and improve existing financial models;
- Work with external appraisers to evaluate development projects and managed properties;
- Monitor the investment and real estate markets and update databases and other market intelligence tools;
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting;
- 3–5 years of experience in real estate, private placements, or mergers & acquisitions (asset);
- Professional designation held or in progress (CFA, CPA, or CBV) (asset);
- Relevant experience in financial modeling, preferably in a transactional context;
- Knowledge of Argus Enterprise (an asset);
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint;
- Strong skills in preparing presentation materials;
- Functional bilingualism (an asset);
