About the role

  • Control, Risk and Compliance Analyst assisting in operational analysis and compliance activities related to investment products distribution at Desjardins. Ensuring proper risk management and compliance regulations are met.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the internal control system
  • Ensure that supervisory controls are completed, and be responsible for execution quality
  • Complete certain supervisory controls and reporting
  • Liaise with relevant Desjardins components
  • Support the senior compliance officer in monitoring activities for the distribution of investment products and reporting, if applicable
  • Manage activities related to operational risk, including risk and control self-assessment, the input of operational losses, the business continuity plan and information security
  • Help managers identify and implement corrective measures
  • Ensure that activities related to money laundering and terrorist financing legislation (PCMLTFA) are carried out
  • Comply with policies, practices and standards, as well as legislation governing the distribution of financial products and services

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience
  • Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers
  • Knowledge of French is required
