Responsibilities

• Technical responsibility for preparing income tax returns for individuals, asset-managing partnerships and joint ownerships
• Reviewing tax assessments and communicating with tax authorities
• Client advisory and support in income tax matters
• Identifying recurring cases and problem areas
• Analyzing all steps in the income tax process
• Documenting and standardizing procedures
• Developing structured workflows together with branch management
• Identifying automation potential (within/outside DATEV, integrations, AI tools, templates, checklists)
• Identifying income-tax-relevant data at the source
• Structuring data for automated declarations
• Building scalable processes for recurring income tax cases

Requirements

• Completed training as a Tax Clerk (Steuerfachangestellte) / Tax Specialist (Steuerfachwirt) or equivalent qualification
• Excellent knowledge of income tax law
• Strong knowledge in preparing income-surplus accounts (Einnahmen-Überschuss-Rechnung) and VAT law (especially for freelancers and real estate)
• Confident use of DATEV Arbeitsplatz, DATEV Einkommensteuer and DATEV "Meine Steuern", as well as digital working processes
• High affinity for data, structures and process optimization
• Enjoys rethinking workflows and building sustainable solutions
• Strong communication skills when interacting with clients and internal teams
