About the role
- Indirect Purchasing Manager leading strategic procurement efforts at Dafiti. Managing a team and ensuring efficient acquisitions of essential services and goods.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Indirect Purchasing area, ensuring strategic procurement of goods and services to support operations.
- Manage a team composed of 3 Buyers, 3 Analysts and 1 Intern, promoting organization, prioritization and delivery of results.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure the best cost-benefit, quality, lead times and compliance.
- Manage the full contract and supplier lifecycle, including contracting, renewals and renegotiations.
- Monitor the department budget, capture savings and identify opportunities for financial efficiency.
- Collaborate with different areas of the company, aligning internal needs with purchasing strategy.
- Monitor and improve department KPIs, such as savings, SLAs, contracts and supplier performance.
- Drive continuous process improvement to increase control, agility and predictability in procurements.
- Ensure compliance, governance and sustainability practices within the purchasing area.
Requirements
- Solid experience in indirect procurement management, with strategic involvement in categories such as administrative services, marketing, IT and facilities.
- Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management and team leadership.
- Experience in cost reduction, generating savings and optimizing processes.
- Strong data analysis skills and use of metrics for decision-making.
- Proficiency in ERP and procurement platforms, such as SAP, and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of supplier onboarding and evaluation, project management and scheduling.
- Familiarity with compliance and governance practices applied to procurement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Logistics or related fields.
- Postgraduate degree or MBA in purchasing-related areas is a plus.
- Assertive communication, strong negotiation skills, strategic vision, organization, sense of urgency and results orientation.
- Intermediate Spanish.
- Certifications in Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement or Supply Chain are desirable.
