About the role

  • Senior Compensation Consultant at TruStage providing advanced compensation consulting and leading compensation projects across diverse client areas with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior/advanced level compensation consulting, design, development, and administration to multiple, highly complex, diverse client areas under minimal direction.
  • Collaborate and consult with HR partners and business leaders to develop effective solutions in areas such as job design, analysis and evaluation, sales incentive design, salary administration, market pricing and analysis, FLSA/compliance/regulatory issues, and other compensation related issues.
  • Design, develop, administer and communicate innovative and cost-effective compensation programs to support internal equity, external competitiveness and consistent application of salary practices throughout the organization.
  • Serve as a compensation expert resource on a broad range of highly complex issues with minimal direction and review.
  • Independently lead large compensation projects/processes on a regular basis.
  • Work extensively on Sales Incentive Design/Re-Design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business or equivalent professional work experience
  • 7+ years compensation/human resources/business experience with 3-4 years in consultative roles
  • Demonstrated analytical, conceptual thinking, and quantitative skills
  • In-depth understanding of technical applications, including spreadsheet and database software tools
  • High level of communication, verbal, written, relationship, negation, and influencing skills
  • Proven effective project management skills
  • Knowledge of compensation best practices
  • Knowledge of legislation relating to Compensation.
  • 5+ yrs of Sales Incentive/Commission Plan design/re-design experience preferred
  • Insurance or Brokerage industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Credit Union marketplace preferred
  • Working experience with Workday and CaptivateIQ platform preferred
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Sales Compensation Professional (CSCP) via WorldatWork preferred
