About the role

Data Operations Analyst overseeing data operations and ensuring data quality for enterprise analytics solutions at Coupa. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data initiatives and support reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Data Architecture and Data Analytics teams to help oversee data operations and maintain data quality that power enterprise Data Analytics and Data solutions for Coupa business units
Monitor and maintain data pipelines and scheduled data jobs to ensure smooth operations
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support data initiatives and reporting requirements
Define and track data quality KPIs; develop and maintain tools to monitor data integrity
Validate and cleanse incoming data to guarantee completeness, accuracy, and consistency
Collaborate closely with data engineering and analytics teams to identify and resolve data issues
Analyze large datasets to detect trends, anomalies, and generate actionable insights
Automate routine data tasks and actively contribute to process improvements
Conduct periodic health checks and audits on data stores, ETL/ELT processes, and data consumption endpoints
Support internal teams by generating ad-hoc reports and addressing data-related inquiries
Continuously optimize data operations to maximize security, reliability, and efficiency

4+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics or data operations
Solid understanding of financial and operational data reporting, including KPIs and SLAs
Proficient in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries across large and diverse datasets
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Pyspark is a strong plus
Experience with data modeling and ETL/ELT pipelines
Experience working with cloud data platforms, particularly Snowflake
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Sigma
Experience with cloud services, especially AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue)
Knowledge of version control systems like Git
Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and excellent problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technology solutions to leadership, gain alignment, and drive progress
Proven track record of sharing outcomes through written communication, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Knowledge of orchestration tools (e.g., DBT, shell scripting)
Exposure to integration platforms (e.g., Workato, Fivetran)
