Business Development Manager driving sales within the Bath and Bournemouth regions for CooperVision’s optical products. Focusing on customer relationships and territory management to meet sales targets.
Responsibilities
plan territory coverage
deliver a blended contact strategy
build strong business relationships with customers to achieve an annual territory sales target and personal performance objectives.
maximise results through delivering agreed priorities
set up and implement commercial business plans with customers within the designated territory area and in line with company objectives and policies.
day to day management of the territory, designated customers and Cooper Vision’s products and services.
develop and introduce new products to customers on behalf of the Company
ensure outstanding knowledge of Cooper Visions products, clinical and technical information, product strategy, market and commercial positioning
deliver training programmes to retail staff
organise and execute clinical training in liaison with the Professional Services team
form close relationships with Regional Managers and representatives within the account structure
represent the Company at seminars, exhibitions and meetings as required.
Requirements
Demonstrable experience and track record in defining and achieving sales results.
Awareness and ability to make a positive impact with prospective, existing customers and others in a coaching style
Enviable track record of achievement (target achievements) gained from organizations that demonstrate and require strong interpersonal skills to influence at all levels of management.
Strong relationship builder with enhanced listening and coaching skills
Understanding of investigative questioning and sales process
Highly pro-active and able to work successfully alone as well as within a team to pre-determined objectives.
Ability to manage a large geographical sales area.
Works well under pressure
Experience in the optical industry preferable
Computer literacy including Excel, Word and PowerPoint are essential.
