About the role
- Actively contribute to the Pricing Desk under the direction of the Director of Pricing & National Procurement
- Provide appropriate pricing for DSV products and services to clients as well as ad hoc requests
- Deliver informed decisions regarding appropriate price points for various modes of transport (air and ocean)
- Serve as a liaison between Sales, Clients and Operations on all pricing-related matters
- Identify opportunities to improve pricing and profitability of existing accounts
- Monitor industry developments and competitors’ pricing strategies
- Negotiate competitive rates with transportation providers
- Create and maintain customer rates in CargoWise One
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in supply chain management, international trade, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the international transport industry
- Relevant industry certifications are an asset (e.g., CIFFA, APICS)
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships and demonstrate active listening
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships internally and externally
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, plan, prioritize, and use time effectively to achieve objectives and results
- Microsoft Office suite proficiency
- Experience with CargoWise is an asset
