About the role

  • The Environmental Analyst will be responsible for managing the environmental aspects of projects and operations in the renewable energy sector, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and industry standards.
  • Socio-environmental permitting of generation and transmission projects.
  • Ensure compliance with socio-environmental conditions at all stages of generation and transmission projects, with particular focus during the construction/implementation phase.
  • Engage in ongoing communications with regulatory agencies, land registry/notary offices (cartórios), municipal authorities, affected landowners and local communities to resolve conflicts and ensure socio-environmental compliance.
  • Conduct risk analyses and environmental impact studies, as well as support audits and permitting processes.
  • Propose solutions for efficient use of natural resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Sanitary Engineering, Biology, Geography or related fields.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in social and environmental areas within power generation projects.
  • Experience with permit and conditions management tools.
  • Proficiency in geoprocessing/GIS tools.
  • Ability to operate strategically and analytically, with a focus on continuous process improvement.
  • Postgraduate degree in project management and/or environmental management.
