About the role
- Junior Tax Analyst at Sonepar, supporting tax compliance for B2B operations in Brazil. Involves auditing tax obligations and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
Responsibilities
- Verify the correct application of ICMS, ICMS-ST, DIFAL, ISS, IPI, PIS and COFINS.
- Support the tax treatment of interstate operations: shipments, returns, promotional/complimentary items, loan-for-use agreements (comodatos) and contract manufacturing (industrialização).
- Perform monthly calculation of indirect taxes (ICMS, ICMS-ST, ISS, IPI and PIS/COFINS).
- Assist with fiscal vs. accounting reconciliation and the analysis of tax credits.
- Prepare and file ancillary obligations: SPED Fiscal, EFD-Contribuições, GIA/DIME and municipal declarations.
- Validate tax documents and support fiscal configuration in the ERP (TOTVS Datasul).
- Provide support to internal departments (procurement, sales, finance and logistics) regarding applicable tax rules.
- Maintain organized tax controls and support process standardization initiatives.
- Monitor updates to tax legislation and report operational impacts.
Requirements
- Working towards or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related fields.
- Basic knowledge of tax legislation (ICMS, ISS, IPI, PIS, COFINS).
- Familiarity with Lucro Real and the non-cumulative regime.
- Experience with interstate B2B operations.
- Basic knowledge of SPED Fiscal and EFD-Contribuições.
- Experience with the TOTVS Datasul ERP.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
