About the role

  • Inside Sales Representative responsible for customer satisfaction and order processing at Sonepar in Timmins. Engage with customers for sales opportunities and product support.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall service.
  • Contact current customers and identify new products and up-selling opportunities.
  • Respond to and process incoming calls and orders.
  • Open new accounts.
  • Develop customer base and sales leads by making cold and warm calls.
  • Enter orders into the system.
  • Maintain knowledge base of current products and learn about new products.
  • Identify products that customers require that may not be stocked and source them.
  • Provide pricing quotations and follow up on quotes.
  • Handle purchasing (direct orders).
  • Counter sales (where applicable).
  • Shipping & Receiving - verify orders daily and fill-in if the shipper/receiver is absent (where applicable).
  • Handle credits/debits and returns as required.
  • Provide basic technical support on products.
  • Respond to inquiries and close orders.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Post Secondary courses in Sales and/or Marketing preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • 1-3 years related experience.
  • Product knowledge or industry experience preferred.
