About the role

  • Deputy Editor collaborating with editors to create thought-leadership content for a global BFSI leader. Ensuring content aligns with brand voice and editorial standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior editors to plan and deliver a steady pipeline of thought-leadership and marketing content that supports sales and relationship teams
  • Translate topic themes, research and insights into structured storylines and narratives that help senior stakeholders make informed decisions
  • Champion editorial standards and ensure all content aligns with the global style guide, brand voice and content brief
  • Review and sub-edit articles, whitepapers and campaign assets for clarity, accuracy, tone, structure and stakeholder requirements
  • Ensure content reflects current risk/insurance market trends and resonates with clearly defined target audiences
  • Maintain consistency across formats such as blogs, e-books, brochures, newsletters and campaign materials
  • Research, write and update high-quality content that reflects current market practices and meets business objectives
  • Partner with writers and subject-matter experts to prepare for interviews, client discovery sessions and SME calls
  • Coach and mentor a small team of content writers; provide detailed feedback and actionable suggestions to improve their work
  • Support colleagues in maintaining content libraries and responding to internal stakeholder queries
  • Work with global content and marketing project leads to deliver projects on time and within agreed scope and budget
  • Manage your workload proactively, communicate timelines clearly and flag risks early to keep projects on track

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in content writing, editing, journalism or thought-leadership development (B2B / professional services experience preferred)
  • Graduate or Post-graduate degree in any discipline; degrees in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or related fields are a plus
  • Exceptional editing skills: able to refine complex drafts into sharp, engaging and error-free content
  • Strong narrative and storytelling skills across long-form and short-form formats
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and coach writers while preserving their voice
  • Strong project-management, time-management and organisational skills; able to juggle multiple pieces and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard content tools
