About the role
- Junior Analyst supporting analysis for CPI's climate finance initiatives and projects, focusing on rigorous data analysis and collaboration with international partners.
Responsibilities
- Map and perform rigorous analysis of transition plans, net zero frameworks and disclosure regulation, as well as a review of existing data initiatives to be integrated in the dashboard
- Support data quality control
- Efficiently collect and analyse varied and cross-disciplinary data to incorporate into usable and reportable formats
- Contribute to the design, management, and implementation of complex research assignments and analytical projects
- Engage clients and peers throughout the research process and advise policymakers on the implications of research findings
- Assist in the writing and editing of high-quality CPI products
- Communicate and collaborate with CPI staff working around the globe
- Produce high-quality materials on demanding deadlines
Requirements
- BA or BS degree required with coursework in finance, economics, and policy
- Master's degree in finance, economics or a related, quantitatively rigorous field strongly preferred
- At least two years of professional experience
- Experience analysing transition plan / net zero frameworks and disclosure regulation, and/or climate finance, and/or energy and climate markets
- Knowledge of SQL, R, Python
- Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and prioritization skills, and an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Superior English written and verbal communications skills
- Additional language fluency
- Experience working in developing economies
