About the role

  • Sponsorship Sales Manager at Energy Council selling event sponsorship and managing client relationships. Achieving revenue targets and collaborating with marketing and production teams.

Responsibilities

  • Sell sponsorship into the portfolio’s global events and help surpass all commercial milestones.
  • Responsible for hitting sales KPI’s and targets for each event per year.
  • Develop sales strategies and achieve revenue targets across the portfolio of events.
  • Manage client relationships and collaborate closely with marketing and production teams.

Requirements

  • Self-driven and motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of confex sponsorship sales and year-on-year revenue generation.
  • Strong interest and understanding of US energy markets, particularly oil & gas upstream and midstream, with knowledge of US energy finance and investment is desirable.
  • Work experience in energy or finance, investment and capital markets.
  • Proven ability to build and develop strong working relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify new companies, sectors, and industry stakeholders for new revenue generation opportunities.
  • Confidence in cold calling and cold pitching to new business.
  • Ability to sell to individuals (senior executives) and to sell to businesses (both).
  • Desire and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to not only identify, but successfully engage, with companies unfamiliar with Energy Council.
  • Ability to gauge client objectives quickly and achieve them.
  • Ability to maintain and grow an account once brought onto the business.
  • Commercially/growth minded and revenue driven.
  • A proven track record of delivering revenue against forecast.
  • Ability to actively track/detail activities in a CRM.
