About the role
- Vice President - Project Lead in Fund Services managing cross-functional teams for operational improvements. Leading strategic initiatives and ensuring on-time project deliverables within budget.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of executing to milestones and budget on one or more projects
- Assess creation of project plan, charter, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log
- Work with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives and confirm project plans meet business needs as described in the project initiation documents
- Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand project schedule and key milestones
- Escalate project risks to the Project Director, or Project Sponsor, when appropriate
- Ensure vendor performance is monitored and actions taken if performance warrants
- Provides sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions
- Directly affects the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience on significant client change or implementation programs, preferably within Fund Operations/Investor Services space
- Working experience and/or expertise around local/APAC landscape, environment, and specifics
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and delivering results on time and within budget
- Continuous improvement and transformation-related skillset and mindset with proven track record of the same
- Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Stakeholders’ management skills, ability to build long-term relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams
