About the role

  • Coordinate the work of accounting analysts and technicians;
  • Ensure accurate accounting for transactions related to more complex contracts or territories;
  • Produce periodic financial reports and prepare and review monthly variance analyses (actual vs. budget vs. forecast);
  • Actively participate in the budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes for the business unit;
  • Participate in and coordinate the weekly and quarterly cash flow processes;
  • Serve as the Finance liaison to touring teams and various operational stakeholders;
  • Actively participate in reviewing business-area processes to optimize practices and ensure implementation of new processes (optimization strategy; defining roles and responsibilities at each stakeholder level; analyzing needs; proposing new ways of working; assessing the relevance of current tools and implementing new systems);
  • Participate in the review of annual audit and tax files;
  • Supervise projects, define objectives aligned with strategy, and ensure timelines and quality of deliverables;
  • Support all projects across the finance department.

Requirements

  • A CPA accounting designation;
  • More than five years of experience in accounting and analysis;
  • Strong leadership skills and effective communication abilities;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Responds to change with agility;
  • Sharp analytical mindset, able to synthesize information to provide a comprehensive view;
  • Knowledge of US GAAP is an asset;
  • Experience with SAP and Longview is an asset;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications in a Windows environment, particularly Excel;
  • High level of spoken and written proficiency in both French and English.
