About the role
- Chief Accountant responsible for managing all accounting functions and ensuring financial accuracy at BTL Algeria. Collaborating with the team to meet strategic financial objectives while ensuring compliance with Algerian regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, and taxation.
- Support and guide the accounting team to achieve objectives set by management.
- Prepare and file monthly and annual tax and social contribution declarations in accordance with Algerian regulations.
- Ensure financial stability and liquidity through rigorous cash-flow management.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Oversee the proper functioning and integrity of BTL Algeria's financial operations.
- Coordinate tax and social audits; collaborate with statutory auditors (Commissaires aux Comptes - CAC).
- Supervise monthly and annual closings and financial statements.
Requirements
- Postgraduate specialization in accounting and auditing.
- 5 years of experience in treasury, accounting, and taxation.
- Professional proficiency in French and English.
