About the role

  • Marketing Manager delivering integrated marketing strategies and measurable results for financial advisory firm Cerity Partners. Advising senior stakeholders and executing marketing initiatives across various channels.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Director of Practice Marketing, this role requires someone who combines strong business acumen with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Serve as a trusted marketing advisor and hands-on partner to advisor teams, helping them define goals, prioritize initiatives, and execute programs that drive measurable growth.
  • Lead and facilitate planning sessions to uncover business objectives, target audiences, and growth opportunities, then translate those discussions into clear, actionable marketing plans.
  • Develop and manage annual marketing plans that combine strategic focus with tactical execution, ensuring all initiatives tie directly to firm and advisor business goals.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively suggest new marketing ideas, events, and client/COI engagement opportunities based on market trends, advisor priorities and best practices occurring on other advisor teams.
  • In partnership with the advisor teams, quarterback the end-to-end development of integrated marketing initiatives across digital, social, content, and events.
  • Act as a connector between advisor teams and the firmwide marketing function, ensuring alignment with overall strategy and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • MBA preferred; strong business acumen with ability to align marketing to firm strategy
  • 7-10 years of progressive marketing experience in professional or financial services with direct experience in wealth management or financial advisory highly preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading integrated marketing initiatives that drive measurable business results
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Proven ability to own and drive marketing strategy from concept through execution.
  • Understanding of digital, content, event, and social marketing best practices, with the ability to connect tactics to overall strategy.
  • Experience building performance reports that link marketing activity to revenue, KPIs, and client engagement metrics.
