About the role
- Senior Software Support Engineer leading resolutions for software, hardware, and network issues at CELUM. Fostering collaboration and continuous improvement within support and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide support when 1st-level support can no longer resolve issues — from software defects and hardware failures to network problems; subsequently perform root cause analysis
- Maintain servers, perform network troubleshooting (e.g., firewall, VPN), and manage user and customer accounts (permissions, policies)
- Promote close collaboration with colleagues in Support and Operations, handle escalations, and continuously help improve support processes
- Keep our knowledge base up to date and actively contribute to the improvement of internal workflows
- Lead as a senior team member and act as a point of contact within the team
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Support Engineer or in a comparable role within an enterprise software environment
- Strong technical expertise in Windows, macOS and Linux, including server environments
- Solid understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, subnetting, and network troubleshooting tools, and basic knowledge of database management
- Hands-on mentality and a good understanding of SaaS platforms
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken — minimum C1 level
