About the role
- Network Administrator at CDW responsible for troubleshooting and resolving network issues. Collaborating with teams to optimize performance across Next-Gen Firewalls and cloud-based environments.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in customer environments
- Provide thorough ticket updates and knowledge articles
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs or replacements
- Monitor customer environments for optimal performance
- Respond to alerts and escalate as needed
- Maintain knowledge sessions for operational teams
- Follow ITIL practices (incident, problem, change management)
- Participate in the weekly change process
- Document and update technical procedures
- Work closely with internal partners to resolve client issues
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with infrastructure support
- 5+ years of experience with networking fundamentals and advanced troubleshooting
- Experience with ticketing and monitoring systems
- Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals
- Implementation experience configuring routers and switches (Cisco, Brocade)
- Hands-on experience with firewall products (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco)
- Experience with security technologies (IPSec/SSL VPN’s, IDS/IPS, UTM, WAF)
- Network Management experience (Syslog, SNMP)
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies (Meraki, Viptella, CloudGenix, Fortinet)
- Exceptional troubleshooting and analytics skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- After-hours and on-call rotation availability
- Bilingual – English and French (nice-to-have)
