About the role

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to crop input sales by leading with agronomic knowledge
  • Execute on the organization's crop input sales plans
  • Position and sell crop input solutions tailored to farming operations
  • Assist customers in making sound crop production and risk management decisions
  • Maintain good relationships with key crop input suppliers
  • Deliver agronomic and commercial training to other customer facing teams
  • Work independently or with the sales team to position products on farm
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues

Requirements

  • Diploma/Certificate or Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Possess a valid, full Canadian Driver’s Licence in good standing
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
  • Strong understanding of the crop inputs business and the significance of supplier relationships
  • Strong understanding of agronomic services, farm customers and the agriculture industry
  • Possess a Professional Agrologist or Certified Crop Adviser certification
