About the role
- Adolescent Mental Health Counsellor in Shared Health responsible for client care and treatment planning. Delivering therapeutic interventions and fostering community resource utilization within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of direct client care; the planning, implementation and evaluation of client treatment plans;
- Planning and facilitation of group therapy programs;
- The provision of therapeutic clinical interventions and effective milieu management;
- Community resource identification and utilization;
- Establishing professional working relationships within the multidisciplinary team and community.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years related practical experience.
- Child and adolescent experience preferred.
- Completion of a university degree with specialization in one of the Social Sciences or completion of the Child & Youth Care Worker Diploma Program or equivalent.
- Certification/Licensure/Registration: Preference will be given to active members of the Child & Youth Care Worker Association of Manitoba.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver direct client care.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and evaluate client treatment plans.
- Demonstrated ability to provide therapeutic clinical interventions and effective milieu management.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships within the multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain the focus of community resource identification and utilization.
