About the role

  • Payroll Compliance Officer supporting payroll team and maintaining personnel files at the Department of Transport and Planning. Conducts auditing and assists in payroll compliance activities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager, Payroll Services in maintaining the Framework for Handling and Managing Personnel Documents.
  • Conduct fortnightly auditing activities on access to, usage and quality of personnel files.
  • Assist in maintaining a culture of good record-keeping practices.
  • Support the migration of personnel files from the Content Manager system to the future-state platform.
  • Assist payroll compliance activities and projects as required.

Requirements

  • Experience working with a records management system and / or employee documentation (desirable).
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Foundational digital and technological literacy with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and online collaboration tools.
  • Ability to assess situations holistically, use analytical tools to understand system dynamics, and recognize how decisions impact other parts of the organization.
