About the role

  • Overseeing tax operations and managing the workflow of the expatriate income tax team, ensuring compliance with tax laws, tax planning, and projections to minimize tax liabilities for expatriate employees.
  • Working with senior leaders in the Church's Tax Division to develop and implement the organization's tax strategy and manage tax reporting.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business management, or related field.
  • 7 years of applicable work experience.
  • Possesses expert working knowledge of income tax issues.
  • Has a current CPA.
  • Possesses ability to lead and develop employees and build effective teams and foster teamwork.
  • Ability to drive strategic direction.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills, analytical thinking skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Is detail oriented.
  • Has excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Has solid computer, word processing, and database management skills.
  • To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
  • Preferred:
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Significant recent experience preparing and reviewing 1040 income tax returns.
  • Experience with expatriate employee tax compliance.
