Responsibilities
Oversees and manage all support service operations within a division of a large health system
Designs and directs the work of Support Services, including Patient Transport, Guest Relations, Environmental Services and Food Nutrition Services
Selects, coaches, and develops teams, setting objectives that align with organizational strategy to inspire and motivate the teams
Manages organizational talent through performance management, succession planning, and development
Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered, and performance is systematically improved
Drives a culture of development within their hierarchy
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical staff, patients, vendors, and regulatory bodies
Collaborate with other departments to ensure support services meet the needs of the entire health system
Lead divisional efforts to align operational best practices; Present outcomes to appropriate internal and external stakeholders, developing project plans as needed to meet organizational goals
Develops and manages budgets for divisional support services departments, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness
Identify opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization without compromising service quality
Analyze financial reports and data to make informed decisions and adjustments
Manages contractual relationships with vendors, ensuring compliance with organizational standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, or related field
Typically, requires 10 years of relevant management experience
Strong people management skills
Strong oral and written communication skills and team building skills
Strong proficiency in computer word processing, scheduling and accounting spreadsheets
Ability to lead in a highly matrixed complex organization
Expert knowledge in facilities and vendor management
