Responsibilities
- Develop of a scalable first line controls governance framework to support the GPN business
- Help to ensure alignment of first line controls with relevant regulations, risks, internal policies, and industry best practices
- Partner with second and third lines of defense to ensure a cohesive and effective overall control environment
- Provide oversight and guidance to the GPN business on the implementation and adherence to the controls governance framework and partner to embed controls governance principles within their day-to-day operations
- Monitor the effectiveness of first line controls through regular reviews and analysis of performance data
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the first, second, and third lines of defense
- Act as a point of contact for controls related inquiries to provide expert advice and guidance on new control builds as well as modernization of existing controls
- Drive initiatives to automate and improve control processes where appropriate
- Develop governance materials, reporting and presentations related to first line controls
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of Risk Management Experience
- At least 7 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients
- Masters Degree (preferred)
- At least 5 years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk (preferred)
- At least 5 years of Financial Services risk management experience (preferred)
- At least 3 years of experience in Data Analysis (preferred)
- People management experience (preferred)
- Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) (preferred)
- Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Business Process Management (preferred)
- PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM) (preferred)
