About the role

  • Manager in HSE at Capco responsible for developing and implementing safety strategies and ensuring compliance. Leading teams in high-complexity environments within a diverse consultancy.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the HSE strategy for the operation, aligned with business objectives and corporate guidelines.
  • Ensure HSE governance and compliance, guaranteeing adherence to legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Manage the HSE budget, controlling costs, investments and financial impacts related to risks, hazardous conditions and training.
  • Lead the SMS and SESMT teams, focusing on performance, engagement and development of technical leadership.
  • Set strategic HSE objectives and KPIs, monitoring results at the executive level.
  • Sponsor critical risk management, ensuring analyses, controls and decisions are integrated into operational governance.
  • Lead crisis and major incident management, acting as the executive lead in critical situations.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of management systems such as PGR (Risk Management Program), PCMSO (Occupational Health Medical Control Program) and emergency plans, with a focus on outcomes rather than only compliance.
  • Act as sponsor for internal and external audits, ensuring action plans and leadership accountability.
  • Manage supplier and partner performance from an HSE perspective, including evaluation, qualification and improvement plans.
  • Strengthen the safety culture through corporate programs, executive communication and leading by example.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the board and operational leadership on risk, safety and sustainability matters.
  • Integrate HSE into the productivity and efficiency agenda, ensuring safety and performance go hand in hand.
  • Manage sensitive issues related to hazardous conditions and occupational health risks, making decisions with technical, legal and financial perspectives.
  • Develop succession plans and an HSE talent pipeline, ensuring the operation’s medium- and long-term sustainability.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree with specialization in Occupational Safety.
  • Proven experience managing and leading SMS teams in high-complexity environments.
