About the role

  • Assistant Store Manager responsible for driving sales and employee development at Coach store. Overseeing operational efficiencies and ensuring brand standards are met in Central Valley, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Understands organizational objectives and makes decisions in partnership with the Store Manager that align with Company priorities and values
  • Develop sales strategies, initiatives and growth across all categories; communicates goals to the team, tracks store’s performance at all times and achieves sales.
  • Holds the management team accountable for personal productivity and management contribution.
  • Develops clienteling strategy; implements and monitors over time, to achieve business goals and objectives in partnership with the Store Manager.
  • Understands changes in market with potential impact on business performance and supports the execution of sales strategies/tactics.
  • Acts as brand ambassador in the market/mall to drive loyalty and business (i.e. charity events, local associations, mall initiatives).
  • Resolves customer issues in a timely manner while being solution-oriented and forward thinking; partners with the Store Manager and/or District Manager as needed.
  • Develops team to build long-term relationships with customers to drive business.
  • Ensures all daily tasks are completed without negatively impacting service of Coach standards.
  • Evaluates performance of all team members and provides consistent and timely feedback; creates and modifies action plans for the continuous development in partnership with the Store Manager.
  • Adheres to all retail policies and procedures including POS and Operations.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of previous management experience in a luxury retail service environment preferable.
  • Possess current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Ability to execute at a fast pace.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team.
  • Ability to maneuver the sales floor, sales shelves, and stock room; climbing, bending, and kneeling are required.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and, at times, lift and carry product/cartons up to 50 pounds to process product shipment/transfers.
  • Ability to meet Coach Scheduling & Availability Expectations, including ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays high retail traffic and sales days.
