About the role

  • Account Executive responsible for managing Group Benefits relationships and achieving sales targets. Supporting in-force clients and promoting additional services for retention.

Responsibilities

  • Support a block of in-force large and/or complex Group Benefits clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with consultants
  • Lead the sales process from request for proposal to finalist presentation
  • Perform all duties related to the management of accounts assigned
  • Solve problems related to unusual or delicate claims
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal partners
  • Work collaboratively to ensure customer service needs are exceeded
  • Promote additional products and services to enhance client retention
  • Achieve annual sales, persistency, in-force growth, profit and other targets

Requirements

  • 5+ years of group insurance experience
  • Thorough knowledge of group life insurance, healthcare insurance, disability insurance, and underwriting
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Ability to act quickly and put forward innovative solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-evolving environment and adapt to growth and change
  • Strong sales and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Designation of C.A.A.S., GBA, or CEBS is a significant asset
  • Undergraduate diploma or equivalent
